Our Story

Hi there! We're Cassie and Anofils, the family behind Zanmi. Zanmi means "friend" in Haitian Creole—a name that reflects how we hope every customer feels when they discover our products.

Our journey began with a simple goal: helping people care for the spaces they call home.

What started as a residential cleaning business gradually grew into something more as we discovered a love for creating handcrafted candles and home fragrances that make those spaces feel even more welcoming.

Today, our family pours every candle with the same care and attention we would for our own home.

Inspired by our Haitian roots, everyday moments, and the memories that connect us, our fragrances are designed to become part of life's routines—lighting a candle after a long day, welcoming friends around the table, or giving a thoughtful gift to someone you love.

From our home to yours.

As our family has grown, so has our vision. What we're building isn't just a business; it's something we hope our children will one day be proud of—a legacy rooted in craftsmanship, community, and caring for others.

Every product is handcrafted in small batches in Utah using soy wax, thoughtfully selected fragrances, and intentional packaging that's as beautiful as the product inside.

You'll often find us at local markets throughout Utah, where some of our favorite moments are meeting customers, hearing their stories, and helping them discover a scent that feels like home.

Thank you for supporting a women-owned, Black-owned, immigrant-owned family business. We're grateful you're here.

With love,

Cassie, Anofils, and the whole Zanmi family (including Zanmim the dog!)
